Experience
Erin Roche is a co-founder of Nguyen Roche Sutton and counsel to families and individuals in contested family law matters and related civil disputes throughout Maryland. She practices with a focus on practical preparation, thoughtful strategy, and clear communication so clients understand their options and can make informed decisions during challenging transitions.
Erin earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Race, Religion, Gender & Class and advocated for clients through the Gender Violence Clinic. Erin developed substantial trial experience early in her career and has continued to litigate contested matters throughout Maryland, including evidentiary hearings, dispositive motions, and trial work in the District and Circuit Courts.
In her family law practice, Erin represents clients in custody, support, divorce, and complex financial matters, including cases involving significant assets and closely held business interests. She approaches these matters with an emphasis on both legal and practical outcomes, helping clients navigate the emotional and logistical realities that often accompany family transitions. She also handles civil disputes where contested issues require careful case development and courtroom readiness.
As a co-founder, Erin helped build Nguyen Roche Sutton around a simple idea: clients deserve high-quality legal work delivered with responsiveness, clarity, and a real understanding of what is at stake in their lives and businesses. That philosophy carries through her day-to-day practice, always grounded in client goals and the realities of the courtroom.
If you are facing a contested family matter or a civil dispute that requires attentive strategy and clear guidance, Erin is prepared to work with you to define your objectives and pursue the path forward that best protects what matters most.
“Courage is the most important attribute of a lawyer. It is more important than competence or vision.”
– Robert F. Kennedy
